Ford Nut Compression Fittings

You probably already know that a Ford Nut is the small brass compression fitting with the correct 1/2 x 20 UNF thread for Stromberg 97/81/48 inlet valves used with 1/4" OD hard fuel line. These come in handy packs of three complete with the brass ferrules. They fit the new Stromberg S-jet and original needle & seat. There's no need to flare the hard line end, just slip the Ford Nut over the end, add the ferrule on the end, then push the pipe firmly into the 97 inlet fitting and tighten the Ford Nut into it, compressing the ferrule to form a good fuel-tight joint. Ford Nuts also fit most Ford Flathead fuel pumps except the 1951-53 1BA glass bowl pump which uses 1/8" NPT fittings.

Stromberg Rod End

Stromberg rod ends come in right and left hand threads for easy adjustment. Just spin the rod to adjust for the correct lever angles. Stromberg rod ends require 10-32 threaded rod and 9/16th length of thread.

Long throttle lever with swivel

Designed to match the shorter Superlink lever arms, this longer version comes with a swivel and roll pin. Like its shorter partners, 9096K is also zinc die-cast with a modern H-beam section for high strength without excess weight. The countersunk stainless steel screw matches those on the carburetor and threads directly into the arm for serious grip. And the stainless steel swivel is secured by a small e-clip, with a 3/16th diameter cross hole for the linkage rod and a black knurled-tip set screw. There are three adjustment/connecting holes in this lever so you can move the swivel to change your linkage leverage and pedal/throttle response.

Cable Throttle Bracket

- Mounts your hot rod cable throttle kit
- Accepts hot rod auto-trans kickdown cable kits

Securely mounted between the carburetor and intake manifold, our Cable Throttle Bracket positions the cable for optimum, bind-free pull on the Stromberg progressive linkage. Compatible with most readily available hot rod cable throttle kits (e.g. Lokar).

A fixing hole is also provided for the small extension bracket supplied with most hot rod auto-trans kickdown cable kits. And a separate side arm provides a mount for a traditional return spring. Again, the 'Lokar' parts are recommended.

While it was principally designed to work with small block Chevy and Ford applications, it is also compatible with most Ford Flathead tripower intake manifolds, (though not with the stock fuel pump).
